How to Shazam a song playing in a post on Instagram?

Hi sachinrohra,

It sounds like you're wanting to use Shazam from within another app. If that is the case, check out this resource.

Use Shazam on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, or Mac

You would need to open the post on another device. It is not possible to open it from within the Instagram app.

Thanks Karina for the revert.

Im looking to Shazam a song which is playing in an Instagram post. Since I can’t play both the apps together on the phone, Shazam only listens to audio playing outside the phone i.e listening via the microphone. I want Shazam to play in the background and listen to the song that is playing on the same phone in a different app i.e Instagram.

so there is a new post on Instagram which is playing a nice song but I can’t recognize that song hence I want Shazam to help me discover the song.

Is that possible and how ?

You would not be able to do that. You will need to open the post on another device and then you can use your iPhone with Shazam.
