On-screen message

I often get the following on screen message, which interrupts the regular operation of my I-phone:

Cannot Verify Server Identity

The identity of "imap.gmail.com"

cannot be verified

Does anyone know I can stop this annoying message? Thank you in advance.

Delete your gmail account, restart the phone, and add it back.
