The USB-C in won’t work on my adapter.

The HDMI and USB-A ones work great. I have 2 adapters and both present the same problem every time. Can anyone help?

The USB-C port on the multiport adapter is intended for connecting an AC adapter to charge the Mac or iPad Pro to which the adapter connected. . It’s not for anything else. Connect your AirPods case directly to your Mac or to a USB-C power adapter (or use any power adapter with a regular USB-A to Lightning cable).

If that is the Apple USB-C Digital AV multiport adapter, that USB-C port is for charging ONLY.

Thanks Grant. It is the Apple USB-C Digital Multiport adapter. I’m trying to use it as a charger for my AirPod pros case. I know the cable works because it works when I plug it directly into either of the USB-C ports on my laptop.

To clarify, this is for the USB-C input that’s not got anything plugged into it. The adapter itself (the part that plugs in to the laptop) appears to work fine.
