How can you change (make thicker) the insertion point cursor (NOT the mouse cursor)

When working on a Pages document (or when typing this message), I find it difficult to see the insertion point cursor. Is there a way to make it thicker ?

Please note: the question is about the insertion point cursor (NOT the mouse = arrow cursor)

Hi,

If you go to System Preferences and click on Accessibility. In there you will see Enable Hover Text, which you can use to enlarge the text next to the cursor. There are some options in there as well that you can play with to get it to work exactly how you want.
