Anti-reflection coating peeling of MacBook Pro Screen
Hello Team,
My 2015 MacBook Pro’s screen’s anti-reflecting coating is peeled off. I did some online research and found out that Apple repaired screens for free for a while but then ended the replacement program a while ago.
The information I read online didn’t make any logical sense to me, commonly claiming that Apple is not standing behind their manufacturing defect, so I went to Apple Store today to discuss the matter with the Genius Bar folks. They told that they cannot assist because the repair program is not active anymore and that I need to pay to replace the screen.
Does anyone know if there is any way for Apple to own their mistake and replace my screen at no cost to me?
I have iPhone, Apple TV, Apple watch and MacBook Pro, so I'm an Apple fan and will continue spending my hard earned money for Apple products in the future too. But as a matter of principle, I am having difficulty in paying the cost of repair due to Apple’s own mistake.
I greatly appreciate if you can guide me if there is any way.
Thank you very much in advance.
Stay safe & healthy.
