Multiple Mac mini (M1) issues: HDMI, Bluetooth & Wi-Fi speeds.

Have been having multiple problems with the new Mac mini (M1).

HDMI port: Mac mini (M1) will not recognize monitor with HDMI>DVI cable connected to HDMI port. Am able to connect using a Thunderbolt 3>HDMI adapter, but this forfeits a Thunderbolt port and, according to others, the adapter may cause EMI interference with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signals and/or Bluetooth?
Bluetooth: Wireless mouse loses connection with computer frequently, especially, but not limited to, when mini is woken from sleep.
Wi-Fi speeds are much slower than that of a late 2012 Mac mini. Per Speedtest.net, Mac mini (M1) download = 26.0 Mbps, Mac mini (late 2012) download = 64.4 Mbps over same network at same location and same time.

Hoping these issues will be resolved with a software update in the near future or the M1 mini is permanently crippled.

DVI is obsolete, replace with an HDMI monitor
Disable sleep. not necessary for the M1
Speedtest is not a good tool to evaluate Wifi, only your ISP connection. More details please on your network, router, Wifi connection (click on the Wifi icon with the option key depressed)

Hcsitas, you sound like a determined Apple apologist, yet it’s Apple that states on their web site under Mac mini (M1) specs: Video Support: HDMI 2.0 display video output: “Support for one display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz. DVI output using HDMI to DVI Adapter (sold separately)”. So thanks for the workarounds but I'll look to Apple to set it right.

Apple used a HDMI port (and not a DVI port) for a reason. The majority of the time when people have issues with these ports it's because they are using older/cheap adapters. You also didn't say which type of DVI your old monitor was. This can also cause a compatibility issue. I would try to use an actual Apple HDMI to DVI Adapter (MJVU2AM/A). If that doesn't work then it might be time to update your equipment. Also, only cheaply made adapters will cause EMI interference. Having said that Apple does have a bluetooth issue, which 11.2 is supposed to fix.
