Which system version do you have installed?

In macOS 11 Big Sur there is an item in the View Menu (in the main menu bar) to show the Hidden Album.

  • Go to the main menu bar, click "View", and in the Menu use "Show Hidden Photo Album".

The album will appear in the Library section in the sidebar. If you are using Photos in Full Screen Mode you may need to move the cursor to the upper border to reveal the main menu bar.
