I have an apple tv box for my cable subscription. To set it up I had to create an apple ID, which I did on my apple tv box. My cable is working properly on the apple tv box but when I go to suscribe to the apple monthly it tell me I dont have an apple ID and that I need to create an itunes acct, please help. I have had this box for months nd cannot access the apple tv

Yes, if you created an Apple ID to use your Apple TV box then you have an Apple ID. You also need an Apple ID to post here on Apple Support Communities, and hopefully you are using the same one. It's best to create only one Apple ID and use it for everything as creating multiple Apple IDs can create much confusion.

Creating an iTunes account uses the same Apple ID. Log into your account in the App Store/iTunes and you should be able to change/verify it there.
Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes store. Please review your account information
