TV is saying it's getting no signal from Apple TV (3rd gen).

My TV is saying it's getting no signal from Apple TV (3rd gen). Remote is working (device turns on/off) and TV recognizes other devices. Perhaps I need to do an update but how if I can't see anything on the screen to initiate one?

If the light on the Apple TV is solid and responding to the remote then the device itself is working as intended and the issue is with the connection with your TV. Make sure HDMI cable is properly seated, disconnect Apple TV and reconnect, try another cable and port.
