Any restriction options to disable Safari translate sending pages to Apple?
Hi, anyone aware about any restrictions that we could put to disable Safari translate feature to send content over to Apple servers?
I've figured that - contrary to, say, Google Translate, that requires a website submitted for translation to be publicly accessible - Safari iOS14 translate feature can send private content, eg Intranet pages if they are made available to the device via VPN, over to Apple servers for translation.
Additionally, while for the standalone Apple Translate app you can download language packs and run translations offline, with Safari it is always online.
The above may not be acceptable in corporate environments for privacy and security reasons, even if Apple claims the content is encrypted in transit and not retained on translation servers.
However, I do not find any MDM- or Business Manager-manageable restrictions I could use to disable the feature,
I understand that it is a user consciencious decision to use the feature, and a warning appears at first use, but I believe this issue requires better transparency for the users and a controls available for corporate environments.
