Text blurry in 1900x1200 or 1080p resolution screen

Why has apple by default enabled text smoothing or whatever that messes up making text really blurry on lower resolution monitors (but completely fine ) and acceptable resolutions.

In fact, 1080p or 1200p is still most common monitor resolution at 24. inch or below screens and some of these monitors are color calibrated expensive stuff like HP dream color or EIZO coloredge , where 1080p or 1200p is still the default standard, and sells around 5-10x cost of normal screen.

Apple decision with Big Sur, is rendering all such expensive investments in screens useless, making me wonder if its worth buying mac mini.

What point is Apple trying to prove? I shooting in the foot !

Mac mini 2018 or later

Solved !!

Here is what I just found... Mac mini M1

I had connected my lower resolution monitor (1080p) on HDMI --- result was blurry text, almost unreadable annoying. Tried all solutions in forums related to disable font smoothing etc... ]

My higher resolution monitor (1440p) on usb-C (from M1) to Display port was working just fine.

Solution -- Swap and bring your lower resolution monitor to USB-C video output and use HDMI for higher res retina monitor to HDMI. Solved the problem for me...crisp text on 1080p and 1200p 24 inch monitor
