Where does Logic put/store recorded audio files by default?

Hello,

I think this question is very simple but i can't find an answer. Where does Logic put/store recorded audio files by default?

I've looked in the manual and searched online but could not find it.

Here's what I do. I open a project in Logic. I save it to a project folder with a name like Pop Song #99. I then begin recording. Let's say I've recorded 3 audio tracks.

they do not appear in the project folder that I've saved. The logic project icon is there but nothing else. If i then bounce the project to an mp3 and choose the folder, it goes there. But where are the individual tracks?

I know I can export the project to a new folder and all of the files will show up--that's not what I am asking.

I'm not trying to recover lost files. when I close and reopen logic everything works fine.

Where does Logic put/store recorded audio files by default? that is my simple question.

(Is there a better way to ask this question? Maybe but that is the best I could do)

Thanks for your time.
