My email priority for new emails composed in MAIL is stuck on High Priority

How do I change the default for all newly composed emails to NORMAL? I can change each email individually as I create them but not all new emails going forward. ARGH!

Hi tengamkcihc,

Thank you for clarifying upon your inquiry. There isn't a way to change the priority status for every email at one time, it would have to be manually changed from Normal when composing the email. If Priority settings isn't a feature you'd like to utilize you can disable it by clicking the Header button as previously describe, click a field, then remove the check mark next to priority.

If you'd like to provide this feedback to Apple you can do so via the Product Feedback website.

Take care!

Hello tengamkcihc,

It sounds as though your wanting to change the priority of emails that you're sending as it's defaulting to High Priority. To further isolate potential causes, we'd like to have you deselect the Priority field following the steps here:

Write and send emails in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

"To use other fields, such as Bcc or Priority, click the Header button , then click a field."

Compose a new email with this field off, send it to yourself, and test if it's still received as High Priority. Let us know what you find.

Have a great day!
