not sure what exactly you are trying to accomplish..

you can 'remove' the Messages app and it will reside in the App Library and not on your Home Screen.

if you're concerned about previews being shown on the Lock Screen.. you can manage this by going to Settings > Notifications > Messages > Show Previews
