How do I stop new tabs with ads and warnings from opening?

new tabs are keep opening with different ads and warnings that says your mac is infected how do i stop this please. Also my mac is getting slower because of this malware can some one please help me how to fix that. Am student so o really need my mac to be fixed asap.

Hi eyob193,


Try clearing out the cache on your web browser. If you're using Safari, follow these steps:


  1. In the menu bar (at the top of the screen), select Safari -> Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy tab, then choose Manage Website Data.
  3. Click Remove All.


Also, check that you don't have any malicious extensions installed. If you're using Safari:


  1. In Safari preferences, select the Extensions tab.
  2. Uncheck the boxes for any extensions that you don't recognize, and uninstall them.
