Lots of Ads and malwear on my Mac

When I browse the web I have lots of malware and ads. How do I get rid of this?

Download and run Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our own colleagues here in ASC and is about the most proven anti-malware software for Mac.

Adware/Malware/Virus/Hijackers Does anyone have a recommendation on a good Mac Cleaner? I have about 20 apps that got installed on my machine that appear to be Adware. Apps with names "interactivespeed" "skyscanner" "extradevice" "servicebuilder" and so many more. I also have a problem with my search engine being hijacked. I believe the hijacking is related to the adware apps. I have my search engine set as google, but every time I do a search it flips to yahoo search. How do I stop new tabs with ads and warnings from opening? new tabs are keep opening with different ads and warnings that says your mac is infected how do i stop this please. download malware bytes from app store just the free version and run it

If you are getting popups telling you that your Mac is infected,

it is a scam an absolutely do not download or call any number

that may be given as the source of those popups only at a minimum

want to make your wallet lighter and at worse steal your identity by

collecting sensitive info.
