iPhone 12 magsafe case no animation

Remove your iPhone from the MagSafe case, reset your iPhone (Volume up, then Volume down, then hold power button until Apple logo appears on reboot) unlock iPhone, lock iPhone, put MagSafe case on

same thing, no animation we’ve been used to on 14.5 (18E5154f) - it works perfect on 14.3 and stopped as soon as I have moved on to the Dev iOS. Since 14.4 and 14.5 I have no animation whatsoever either with or without the apple magsafe transparent case. whether I have the case on or off - same thing no animation but charging works. either 20W or even stronger Anker or Satechi USB-C charging - same thing, nothing to do with power distribution. It is iOS glitch and I can bet it will be fixed along the route but ... WHEN?

Same issue, mag wallet doesn't animate when attached with mag case (clear)

Same thing here. Out of the box in November the silicone case animation worked just fine with my 12 max pro, bought a dji OM 4 so popped the phone out of the case and when i popped it back in found the animation isn’t working.

it’s kinda not a big deal but the thing is it is specified as part of the functionality of the two official products, so it SHOULD work.

come on Apple, please sort it soonest.

Got my 12 pro max like two weeks ago. Bought the mag safe charger and everything just to get the animation and it doesn’t work. That was one of the things I was excited for. So bought a silicone apple MagSafe case and still it does nothing smh. I hope it’s fixed soon. Kinda sucks just wanted the experience lol

Same with my new official clear MagSafe case. No animation at all. Running iOS 14.4.1 the latest public availability. Anyone figure out what’s wrong? I did the force restart as well. Maybe some setting that it needs to be turned on? Reduce motion?

So this one worked for me, however, with the case on, I tried to add the MagSafe apple case and did not get anything. I removed the case to try it just to be sure and it worked. I think its a firmware issue.

Same here. I’ve had the 12 pro since launch. Currently on 14.5. The animation has never worked for me since I purchased the MagSafe case and charger about a month ago.

With every respect that is, I believe, the first thing we have all tried.

It makes absolutely no difference doing a hard reboot.

The functionality is broken.

I’m sorry that you’ve had this experience. I only posted that because that’s what I did and it fixed the issue

I wonder if it is the new update or something... my case worked just fine for a few times, but I just tried it again and it won’t work.
