Not receiving any verification texts for my apps

I have multiple apps that have required me to verify my mobile number using the two factor authentication process but I’m not receiving any verification codes. This has only just started recently and nothing in my phone has changed. I have restarted phone, deleted and re-installed apps, checked my blocked list for 5-7 numbers (although I haven’t blocked a number in years), have been in touch with my phone network who tells me there is no problem on that side of things and they sent me a message which I received. So I really don’t know what else to try. Any ideas people?

Hi Zomow,

We can understand the concern of not getting your verification codes for your apps, and we're happy to help with this. First, make sure that you aren't having any issues with sending or receiving texts using the steps here:

If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If there are problems with your text messages, then the next steps will be to contact the developers of the apps that you are having this issue with. Find the steps to do so here:

I just started having problems with iMessage and FT. I have always used 4 mobile numbers and 2 email addresses across my 5 or so Apple devices. Last week my main number (the SIM is in my iPhone XS Max). It is capable of sending and receiving SMSs, iMessages, phone calls, etc. Local and international.

This one number stays on the Apple ID list of trusted numbers, but will not activate on iMessage/FB. A week of trying everything, I decided to put that SIM in a very old iPhone 4. It worked. The number appeared on all my devices as the ONLY number for iMessage. I’m willing to accept that. But I can’t use an iPhone 4. I put my SIM into my iPhone XS Max - all numbers vanished from all devices. Only my Apple ID remained as activated for iMessage.

I tried adding my main mobile number to my Apple ID as trusted, but the activation code never arrives. I tried to send and receive local and Intl SMSs on that iPhone with that SIM - No problem. Then I thought maybe I blocked one of the Apple telephone numbers they use. I have a few activation messages from this week. I have 500+ blocked numbers and undeleted numbers that I believe would be machine to machine. Nothing working yet.

Any suggestions?

all except iPhone 4 are on 14.4 iOS.
