MacBook Pro M1 Battery Health at 98% after 3 cycles.

Hello everyone

Wanted to share my little experience with the new M1 Pro and its battery drop. I know I shouldn't 'care' about it etc. but it doesn't feel right to have a drop in battery health after only 3 cycles.

Already swapped one after two weeks due to a faulty ambient light sensor (battery was solid on this unit - snapshot attached).

Unfortunately it is not the same with the second one, which after only a couple of days, charging it twice, from 50 to 100, has dropped to 98%.

I've seen a few more cases outside this forum but mainly with the M1 Air.

I have Apple Care+ so I'm not worried in the long run but just wanted to share this and see if other people have encountered this issue.

Also, there is quite a discrepancy from what the OS is telling me compared to Coconut but this is because MacOS uses a defensive calculation for the battery capacity value to define 100% (and the percentage calculation). coconutBattery reads out the raw battery data and can give you more precise information.
