my screen shows that scam that my computer has been taken over - call this number. I shut the computer down and restarted. It’s still there. Any suggestions? Thank you

No, such messages are designed to scare the user into calling the bogus displayed number, at which time they would extort hundreds of dollars from you for a non-existent problem. The key thing to remember is that you may see more of those messages, but they will be scams. Don't become one of their victims
