Scroll through jpg files with preview...is it so hard?

Is there any way I can just open one photo in a folder and jump to the next one via arrow right?

Like on MS windows for 20 years?

Pls don't give me a workaround like "mark all files and open them" which is stupid if you have subfolders and so on.

Is there an alternative app that actually can do this?

Thanks and best regards

Jonny

Open a folder of images, select the first image, and then press the spacebar to invoke Quick Look. Then use left or right arrows to advance or retreat between images. Use the escape key to close the Quick Look window. If the images have a numeric sequence, you might want to sort by name before starting Quick Look.

An alternative would be to open a sorted folder of images in Preview, switch to View menu > Contact Sheet, and use the arrow keys here for navigation. When you are done, press the option key, select File menu > Close all, and then quit Preview.
