Stop sharing Apple ID.
Apple ID is for one person only that can have many devices.
It is not meant for more than one user.

This can only occur if you are sharing an AppleID - which you should not do.
You and your daughter should not be using the same AppleID - as doing so will result in unwanted information sharing, privacy issues and potential AppleID account lockout. It follows that your Photo’s (and other personal information) and Keychain will potentially be visible and/or synchronise with devices that use your personal AppleID.
The Golden Rule: Don’t share an AppleID between users. Each user should have their own AppleID for their own exclusive use - linked to their own primary email (and secondary/recovery email addresses and trusted telephone numbers). Sharing an AppleID causes multiple practical and data security issues.
You would be best advised to separate your digital identities and configure a new AppleID for each of your children:

Should you wish to do so, you can continue to selectively share purchased Apple Services, Subscriptions, Apps and Media using Apple’s Family Sharing features:

Once you have completely separated your AppleIDs - and are each using your own unique AppleID to sign-in to iCloud services (such as Photos in iCloud) - then yes, you can safely delete unwanted photos and files from your own devices.
When your daughter is signing-out from your AppleID, she will be presented with a choice - this being to save a local copy of iCloud data, or not, for each of the iCloud services...
You need to carefully consider the implications of saving individual data sets. Any data that is “saved” will subsequently be merged with the new AppleID account. If saved, unwanted items can later be manually deleted, bit this can be a painstaking exercise - in particular for Calendar entries. Be particularly mindful of the Keychain - as this will likely include your website passwords.
Your daughter is likely to want to keep her photos. You, however, may not want your Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Notes, Messages, Keychain etc. to be saved to your daughter’s iPad and iCloud account.
I hope this additional information and insight is helpful to you.
Hi Less
This is all very helpful for me thank you! I appreciate your time in coming to my aid ☺️ I’m an RN so this kind of thing is out of my element. Is there a way to avoid having my Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Notes, Messages, Keychain etc. saved onto my daughters iPad?
I apologize for monopolizing your time...just want to take the opportunity while I can!
Thank you for your help! 🙏🏼
Thank you Less, this is much appreciated!! Once I create an Apple ID for my daughter I can delete all her apps and photos from my device and they’ll still remain on her iPad?
