Walkie Talkie energy consumption

Does anyone know the impact of having the Walkie Talkie feature activated (even not actively using) on battery life? Does it consume a lot of battery during the day?

Apple Watch Series 6, watchOS 7

Most likely does not consume anything when you are not actually holding a conversation.

Walkie-Talkie is a "Push to Talk" FaceTime audio connection. It is Internet networking based connection.

Your Apple Watch is always listening for network connections of one type or another. Most of the time, if near your iPhone, the Apple Watch is using Low Energy Bluetooth, and the iPhone is doing all the heavy lifting. But no matter what the Apple Watch is just listening for any network traffic. Messages, phone calls, alarms from your iPhone, etc... So a FaceTime audio connection is nothing more than an in-bound network connection.
