I want to purchase a phone in USA but I am from Costa Rica and I need to understand how the unblock works and how to reach it, before doing my purchase

Apple’s iPhone warranty is not worldwide; phones models are region-specific to meet local regulations, and service facilities in a region will only have the equipment and parts to repair phones sold for that region.
Sometimes, for a simple repair like a battery or screen replacement the local Apple service provider can do it, but for anything more complicated they won’t be able to. But even if they can, many local service providers will refuse to service phones under warranty from other regions.
Note that the only place you can buy an unlocked phone is directly from Apple. No other seller has unlocked phones.

So apple does not have a world wide warranty? If I take my phone to a authorized seller in Costa Rica, are they can not help me?
