Wireless charging Issues

I am reading that even the MagSafe charger doesn't consistently work with iPhone 12 models? I had to return two different wireless chargers I purchased because they didn't work with my iPhone 12 Pro Max? Do I need to give up on wirelessly charging my phone? Why wasn't this disclosed before I purchased the phone? Will Apple ever fix the issue or is this expensive phone limited?
