Missing ends of chapters

My wife is finding almost all books since IOS 14 release seem to end up with missing pages from ends of chapters.

mid sentence one will end and new chapter starts on the next page.

page numbers seem to stay correct and quitting Ibooks completely then loading it up suddenly the missing pages will appear. Dozens of books affected and does not appear to be a download issue as the text reappears by just restarting the App.

Iisue was occurring on her iPhone 6s and continues on her new iPhone 12.

Are others encountering this?

I've just been onto Apple Support in Ireland and they suggested going to: Library/Edit/Select- 'Remove Download' and then re-download the book. It seems to have worked after a quick test… These are their links to help pages: Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books

In desperation I deleted the app, shut down, restarted and reinstalled the app from the app store. My library was still intact, though Books default preferences needed sorting (reading goals, fonts, etc…). And so far it is behaving itself!

Thanks for your reply. Yeah deleting the books only half worked and it’s now a download issue as just closing the book and reopening fixes it temporarily.

seems to be an error within the App itself. Was hoping to avoid removing the app and messing up all the settings fir her. 1000’s of books and a lot of trouble if it goes wrong.
