Accidentally started FileVault decryption

I turned off FileVault accidentally.

Now my mac is waiting for a power adapter to resume decryption (which is never started).

I don't want to start the decryption process. How can I solve this problem?

FileVault turned off Hi all, yesterday I updated my iMac OS to the latest version and noticed accidentally, while I was searching for other settings, that I could “Turn on” my FileVault. This was shocking, as I turned on my FileVault ever since I bought the iMac! Does any of you have any idea how this could have happened? Furthermore, is there any way I can trace when this might happened? Thank you, and let me wish the community here a fantastic New Year!

filevault Hello there ! I activated the FileVault security tool (Security and Confidentiality tool) in my MacBook Pro a while ago, with the aim of encoding my files in the Hard disk in order to avoid unauthorized access. Believing that FileVault was making my Mac to become much slower, I decided to deactivate FileVault and decipher the Hard Disk more than a week ago. Not only is the Mac now much slower than before, but the deciphering appears to be blocked in the same place for the past week. FileVault progress bar appears to have been blocked at the 3/5 level since more than a week, and it shows : Deciphering... Calculating the remaining time... Is there any way I can stop the deciphering or enhance a complete deciphering process more quickly ? Thank you in advance for any helpful suggestions.

The only way to solve it is to let it complete the description, then turn on FileVault, again.
