MacOs Software Update assistance.

I recently was trying install a piece of software onto my Mac and I got an error message which basically says I cannot use this application with this version of MacOS.

I have MacOs 10.13.16, but the application requires MacOS 10.14 or later. I followed the steps on updating the software, ie click on Software Update on iTunes, but it tells me that there are software updates available!

Can anyone tell how do I update the MacOs Software to the most recent if I cannot seem to get on my automatic updates?

I cannot understand how my hasn't updated automatically as I have the automatically update tab selected!

Automatic Updates may not work when you don't have a consistent Wi-Fi network or sufficient battery charge, it requires certain conditions to operate. It also needs the user to confirm the update manually when logged into the Mac. See more about it in step 4 in the link below.

So if Automatic Updates is not working, you can always manually update it by following these steps here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541

Hope this helps!
