I woke up today with a blue dot under the icon of netflix on my apple tv + when i click on the icon, it doesn’t enter.
plz note that the netflix app on my i phone is working.

Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support
If it has an App Store App, delete the Netflix App and reinstall.
Move and hide apps on your Apple TV - Apple Support
The blue dot means the App updated, so update your Apple TV as well
Update Apple TV software - Apple Support

For some reason the last update Apple had, it didn’t update all systems even if you have your settings to update automatically. You need to go to -

System
Software Update
Update software
it takes a few minutes but should solve the problem.
Hello. I had the same problem with Netflix on both my AppleTVs (one in the bedroom and another one in the home theater). To solve it you need to update the software in your AppleTV. Here’s how to do it on the device:
1) go to Settings
2) then to System
3) under System go to MAINTENANCE Software Updates
4) press Update Software
5) follow the steps after that

I had the same problem. I have auto update but for some reason it did not work. You will need to go into your Apple TV..
Go to:
Apple TV settings
System
Software Update
Update software
It takes about 15 minutes to update the software. It worked..

the blue dot with ios usually mean that the app has been updated since it was last run
I would delete the app and redownload it
I have just - at last - solved this by simply downloading the latest software up date on the Apple TV box/system - I have version 4.
We had the same problem, however we found out we had a Apple TV software update and haven’t updated in a while. Once we updated the Apple TV itself the Netflix app worked again.
Thank you. My Apple TV is set to automatically update but for some reason, it missed this past update and I had to automatically update it.
Go to Apple TV settings > system > update.
The common solution that has helped me and others with the issue is manually updating your Apple TV software. For some reason even with automatic updates turned on this specific update won’t update unless done manually.

Worked for me as well. It took awhile, nearly an hour. Even though I have “update automatically” on, when I clicked on “update..”, the system immediately began to download an update. So much for auto-update!!!
Have the same problem and my apple tv is brand new
Still update. A brand new Apple TV box won’t have the update from 3 days ago (v14.4), and may even have software quite a bit older, depending on what software was loaded in the factory.
