How do I print a photo full page from my iPhone to my printer using AirPrint?

When printing a photo from Photos app to my HP Laserjet via Airprint, it comes out very small.

The photo was taken using the iphone itself, so will be high resolution and definitely enough for A4 full page.

But when its printed its only about 15cm x 8cm.

How can i make it print full page?

I'm able to print any documents from my laptop over my WIFI network, however I'm unable to Airprint documents from my iPhone 12 using IOS 16.7. I have an Iphone 12 and a fairly new HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e printer. I'm trying to AirPrint a picture that was texted to me. but no Air Printer found??? Check your printer manual or ask HP for help.

dont think its HP related.

PDFs and Word docs airprint fine to the correct size
