Oddly, the solution is to manually update the Apple TV software version, not the Netflix app. I had my Apple TV set to automatically update its software version, but because of this problem I learned it doesn't always do that. I had to skip around the automatic part to force a manual update of the latest Apple TV software.

After that was done, Netflix loaded just fine. Working perfectly now.

Had tried tons of other things, even more than you before that. But the trick is that Netflix app had automatically updated, but the Apple TV software hadn't. Nothing was going to work until the Apple TV software was forced to update.

I was having the same exact issue, so I called Netflix. The first person that I spoke to was completely useless, so I called back and it was a totally different experience. He was able to diagnose the problem...I was the problem! I was signing in with an old account login. I signed in with the correct info and everything was good to go.

I was having the same problem with Netflix suddenly not loading on both of my Apple TVs. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Netflix app did not remedy the problem. Both devices are set for automatic updates as is the Netflix app, however, I turned off the Apple TV automatic update setting and manually accepted the update as you suggested and it immediately took the update. I’m happy to report that this solved the problem.

The thing is my wifi network is from the same router as eth and it works fine .. in fact everything else on AppleTV works fine (with wifi) besides Netflix app.. which in fact shows: "something went wrong- try again later" message without any error number.. I just figure it out problem myself.. I guess it might be some Netflix problem that I am coming from within eth and then from wifi on the same device so maybe it was blocked.. like when you try use VPN..

so maybe if I "factory reset" AppleTV - which will erase all Netflix signature data from the device - it will start working again on wifi .. ?

The issue is with Apple. You should reach out to them and find out who they want you to blame because their Apple TV’s auto update mechanism doesn’t work reliably. To manually force an update to the OS will fix your issue. Apples OS. Bottom line. It is a shame they can’t take responsibility for their failing update mechanism. Netflix should not break, that’s on Netflix. The OS should auto update if the checkbox is checked. Sounds pretty simple to me. But go ahead Apple, tell us why this isn’t your fault.

So i have reset my apple 4k tv, unplugged tv/modem, deleted and reinstalled netflix app and have updated my appletv with lastest update 14.4 (and have done all pretty much at the same time). When i click the netflix app it just sits there with the load sign, i can never get to a login screen. Nothing has worked. Am i missing something?
