My phone is broken

When ever I put my finger over the front camera it turns off the display. I have a iPhone XR. Another thing is my screen is very delayed when ever I go to type it takes my phone a good 5 secs to start putting the letters on the screen. My phone will just freeze in the middle of know where. I have restarted my phone multiple times it will help for a little and then it just goes back. If I have apple care can they replace my phone??
