Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities forum. We understand you're getting an error when trying to screen record on an iPad. We'd like to offer a few steps to start troubleshooting and recommend testing the feature again after each step.
- Verify the iOS is up to date in Settings > General > Software Update. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Restart your iPad.
- If on, turn off Low Power Mode. Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone
- Verify storage space available on iPhone. How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
