AirPods dropped

Welcome. It may be a stupid question, but she gets nervous. I recently purchased 2nd generation AirPods headphones. One of the earbuds fell, bouncing off the car door and landing on a rubber mat on the floor. I am afraid to use them for fear of hearing damage or an explosion due to a possible invisible fault. I checked, they work. Could something happen to me or should I use it without fear?
