Macbook OSx is failing to reinstall

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro 2015 which i'm preparing for sale. Ive deleted the drive and am now looking to reinstall the OS, but am stuck in loop with it failing and giving and error message, "OS X could not be installed on your computer. No packages were eligible for install. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

Ive been through it a couple of times and am now stuck. Any help is much appreciated.

Have you ever had macOS 10.12.6+ installed on this laptop? If so, then boot into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R to access the latest online macOS installer (Big Sur). This key combination may also work to install macOS even if you were running an older version of macOS (Apple's details about this are not clear).

If you have access to another Mac you can also create a bootable macOS USB installer.

Make sure to use Disk Utility to erase the whole physical drive and not just the "Macintosh HD" volume. With later versions of macOS the physical drive is hidden from view within Disk Utility. Use this Apple article to reveal the hidden physical drive within Disk Utility:
