I’m not getting Apple Watch invite accepted notifications.

My friend and I had an Apple Watch competition last week and all went well. A week later, we’re trying again to no avail. I sent her a request and she accepted. I’m showing up on her competition list, but on my watch and iPhone app, it still says acceptance pending (24 hours remain). I’ve rebooted all devices. Everything is updated to the most current software. I’ve signed out and back into iCloud. I’ve unpaired my watch (SE). What do I do?!

Hey there Kelsey,

We'd like to help get your invites working correctly, especially since your friend already accepted your new challenge!

While you may need to reach out to Apple Support, we'd like to first rule out some basics:

You mentioned it and your paired iPhone are up to date. If you check within both devices Settings > General > About, you can view the currently installed OS version. The latest ones are iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2. You'll want to confirm if those are the versions currently installed.
You also mentioned already performing some other steps, including a restart of both your watch and iPhone. Has your friend tried sending you an invite? If not, we recommend testing that now.
You'll want to confirm if you can still send a text message to each other.
Is Settings > Cellular > Fitness and Health enabled in both of your watches? If not, it wouldn't update unless connected to Wi-Fi.
