deauthorize iTunes on computers that are no longer operational

How do I deauthorize iTunes on computers that are no longer operational? I have tried searching all over my new MacBook. It says I have 5 authorized and can't authorize this one. But doesn't let me log on and deauthorize from my new computer. HELP!!!! I'm sure I'm overlooking something, but this is my first time to have a MacBook and I'm struggling.
