iPhone 11 numeric keys

Sometimes the numeric keys do not work or register - therefore I cannot answer prompts ("press 1 to accept call). This is an urgent problem!

The input is not recognized by the apple caller/computer, so apple support call back is canceled. Try using the steps listed in Restart iPhone - Apple Support. If that doesn't make a difference try using Force restart iPhone - Apple Support.
