All instructions for deregestering messages are for iPhones. I am moving away from iPad to Samsung tablet. How do I get rid of Apple messaging

How do I turn off Apple messaging on iPad when moving to Samsung Tablet?

Have you tried going to Settings>Messages and turning off iMessages?


Note that your issue is very different from that of someone switching from an iPhone to an Android phone. In that case, there's a phone number connected with their iMessage account that is moving to the Android. iPads don't have mobile numbers. People are messaging you using your Apple ID. Your Android tablet won't have access to that so there's no confusion.


If you have an iPhone that's forwarding SMS messages to your iPad, on the iPhone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and remove your iPad from the list.
