Thank you Tom Gewecke, for your response it has solved the issue, the reason I do not use google is that I have removed it from my iMac permanently, there was a glitch involving my apple i.d. which eventually led to a complete reboot of my Mac, after receiving amazing help from 5 different individuals on Apple support, Vicki, Manoli, Catherine, Haris, & Anna. between them all they tried every possible method to resolve this issue without success until a complete reboot after I backed up my iMac & when this was successfully accomplished they also helped me reset my iMac, now it works perfectly!!! thanks to all. I only restored back in everything "Apple" & Bing as an alternative to Google. Incidentally, we also established the reason for the "GLICH", my wife had previously used an iPhone 5 which was then replaced with an iPhone 7 about 3yrs ago, the 5 was sold to a close friend of hers, unbeknown to either of us it still had a connection to my iMac??? which I recall deleting from iMac yet it remained connected? this I discovered after reboot because of the "photos" in my iMac belonged to her friend, Our photos were in my external hard drive which I did not restore back in??? MY THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED, MUCH APPRECIATED. 48ZILDJIAN
