Shocking iPhone

I recently got new AirPods Pro and I am using the wire that I got in the box (at least they give you that) to charge my iPhone. When I am using the charger with one end in my MacBook and one end in my iPhone X it works fine, but my iPhone started shocking me. When I touched the iPhone anywhere, except the screen (where I have a screen protector) it shocked me. And when I was touching the iPhone and a piece of metal with my foot I felt a shock in my hand and in my foot.

I believe/ hope this is not normal behavior, what is it, and what can I do to stop it?

iPhone X, iOS 14

Hello,

You should not be getting shocked (not counting static electricity). Stop using it immediately.

You should get the cable checked or replaced. If you replace it, see this:

Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories

Good luck.
