My Kindle app won’t go back to the library

i am using my Kindle App on my iPad Pro w iOS 14.3. My app is also up to date. 1-2 mos ago, I began having problems trying to back out of a book or to see the books table of contents. No matter where I would tap on my iPad Pro, none of the information would come up. The touchscreen works quite well with other programs. Basically, I can’t close the book and open another one, and I can’t see my table of contents or any of the other toolbar items. When I reset my iPad, it works for a short period of time - sometimes. Other times it is just the same
