Why does the iTunes 4.99 (for example) section now require Apple’s horrible AppleTV app? The AppleTV app tries to herd people to streaming services. It doesn’t allow you to purchase the movie if that movie is available on a connected streaming service.

You also can not gift a movie to anyone on the ATV app.

the changes were not thought out very well and has pushed me to start shopping on VUDU or Google Play. Since most of the movies are MA compatible we would still be able to access them on our Apple TV (the TV hardware, not the confusingly same named Apple TV app).
