Pages - italicizing first word makes bullet point large

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows the reason why italicizing the first word in a bullet point makes the bullet point large in Pages.

I found a workaround where I put a space before the first word, but I was wondering if there is a way to avoid the situation in the first place.

Thank you

Change the font that you are using for the bullets. Some fonts will cause a NE direction bullet malformation when italics is applied to the first word. Especially visible at 300%.

I can duplicate this with Libertinus Serif, an OpenType Postscript font, but not with another OpenType Postscript font (EB Garamond), or Hoefler text, Helvetica Neue, or several others.

Hello,

I understand how to change the font of bullets alone in Word, but I could not find such an option in Pages.

Therefore, I tried changing the bullet shape and then changed it back to the default colored-in circle. Now it no longer becomes large when I italicize but instead becomes italicized as well, which I am fine with because it is much more subtle. I no longer don't need to put the space in front and am satisfied.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
