iPad storage

Over 20 GB of my iPad storage is being used by “system” and “other” the iPad is upgraded to the lasted update. How do I free up my storage?

Storage in iPad I can display how the iPad uses the storage it has. In my 16GB storage it shows 15.5GB of 16GB used and under that, system, apps, photos, etc and lastly ‘other’ It seems that ‘other’ takes up, maybe 6GB. How can I free that up? I have recently turned off automatic updates and restarted the iPad but to no avail. Can you please help?
