Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 problems after OSCatalina

After downloading OSCatalina, my Adobe Photoshop Elements12 crashes when I try to save a file. Is there a way to fix it?

adobe crash I installed 12.2.1 today and the adobe app was crashing badly. Also uninstalling it was a nightmare! I anyhow managed to uninstall it. But even after reinstalling it, it still is "not responding".

I would think PSE 12 is much too old to run correctly with Catalina.
