How to re-connect airpods

I’ve done everything to reconnect my AirPods to my ph and nothing is working. I’ve reset them, I forgot device and tried to reconnect to Bluetooth I’ve fully charged and they still will not show up in devices found on my ph... anyone else here have had this program? I just purchased these yesterday and the did fine
