Can I use two homepods to set two different primary languages

I'm thinking of buying two homepods, one in my bedroom and one in my father-in-law's bedroom.

I speak mainly English and he speaks mainly Cantonese. Would we be able to set English as the primary language for one and Cantonese for the other? bonus points, in intercom feature, if I talk to mine in English, would his homepod come out in Cantonese and vice versa? much thanks!

The intercom is a recording of your voice talking. So it’s not going to translate and use another Siri voice. So you would be able to talk to him in Cantonese and that is what he would hear and vice versa


I don’t know if it can use two languages in one “Home”. You can use two different accents which isn’t what you asked.
