How to set duration of slideshow photos?

How do I set the duration of the photos shown in my slideshow. I have created the slideshow, but the default time is too brief. The photo help states to use the "duration button" and proceed from there. But, where is the duration button?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

The way I have done this is to create a slideshow and export it to a file. The slideshow then shows up under Projects. When you select it from that list of projects the screen has some buttons on the very far right of the window, the one that looks like a clock is the button that controls the timing intervals. There is also another button there for the music and one more ...
