Apple Pay automatically comes up

Hello. My Apple Pay has been automatically been popping up when I am using my phone. I am not pressing the side button twice which I should have to do to bring it up. I am worried my phone is compromised in some way. I would like to know if this is a bug or is happening for some other reason.
